System description

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) control coating system comprising a conductive layer, copper grounding strips, and an anti-static topcoat — conducting electric charge to the ground instead of allowing sparks that damage components or create fire and explosion hazards.

This system uses Kadier products with published technical data (TDS) — build-up table below; mixing ratios, drying times and physical properties are on the Products page.

  • Controls the surface resistance of the floor within the ESD-required zones of electronics plants.
  • Protects static-sensitive components on assembly lines and in test rooms.
  • Reduces the risk of static sparks in areas storing solvents and flammable chemicals.
  • Seamless, easy-to-clean surface like standard epoxy systems.

General technical framework

  • Technology: Two-component anti-static epoxy + conductive layer; substrate: concrete meeting standard application conditions, with a grounding point.
  • System configuration: Primer + conductive layer + copper grounding strips + anti-static topcoat.
  • Acceptance: the project includes on-site resistance measurement with the project owner.

General application process

  1. Survey the concrete substrate, confirm the grounding point and the ESD-required zones.
  2. Prepare the substrate to standard application conditions: clean and treat substrate defects before priming.
  3. Coat 1 — Kadier RC penetrating primer: adhesion base for the whole system.
  4. Coat 2 — Conductive layer + SG copper grounding strips: creating a path for electric charge to the building grounding system.
  5. Coat 3 — StatGuard SG anti-static topcoat: resistance acceptance measurement after full curing.
  6. Carry out acceptance with the project owner using on-site resistance measurement before handover.
