System description

Water-based epoxy system: low odor during application, low VOC content — suitable for spaces in operation or with high hygiene requirements, such as food plants, hospitals, schools, and enclosed basements that are hard to ventilate.

AquaBase is configured project by project; contact Kadier to receive the technical data for the proposed build-up.

  • Low odor — can be applied in adjacent areas that remain in operation.
  • Low VOC content, measured per the TCVN 10370 method.
  • Seamless, easy-to-clean surface, suitable for food and medical hygiene areas.
  • Better fire safety than solvent-based systems while wet during application.

General technical framework

  • Technology: Two-component water-based epoxy; substrate: concrete meeting standard application conditions.
  • System configuration: Water-based primer + water-based epoxy topcoat.
  • Standards framework: TCVN 9014:2011 — Epoxy paint.

General application process

  1. Survey the concrete substrate and ventilation conditions, advise the system configuration by area of use.
  2. Prepare the substrate to standard application conditions: clean and treat substrate defects before priming.
  3. Coat 1 — AquaBase AB water-based primer: penetrates and seals dust on the concrete substrate.
  4. Coats 2–3 — AquaBase AB water-based topcoats: apply under ventilation conditions per the TDS instructions.
  5. Inspect the surface and carry out handover acceptance with the project owner before handover.
